Friday Night at the Drive-In: Alice in Wonderland (1933)

Curiouser and curiouser!

 

This isn’t a Disney version.  This isn’t made for TV.  This is live action and as surreal as they could manage in the 30’s.  Well worth watching.  (Turn down the lights when you do.  It adds to the experience.)

I first saw this movie on late night TV as a kid.  We were staying at a hotel as we traveled across the US.  I couldn’t sleep, so I sat on the floor in front of the TV with the sound low while my parents and brother slept.  The movie was both creepy and fascinating.
